
Mission Statement
The Board of Library Trustees, as elected officials, are accountable to the taxpayers and the people served by the library. Trustees, working closely with the director, establish policies, and determine the final budget. The library director is responsible for daily operations and procedures at the library.
Responsibilities
Dover Town Code Description of Responsibilities
There shall be a six-member Board of Library Trustees elected on a rotating basis of two members each year for three-year terms. The Board’s responsibilities shall include, but shall not be limited to, the operation of the Dover Town Library in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 78, 10 through 12.
