Council on Aging (COA)
The Dover Council on Aging (COA) provides programs and services to meet the educational, social, and health and wellness needs of Dover residents age 60 and older. The COA focuses on empowering seniors to live independently, promote well-being, maintain dignity, and enhance quality of life.
The COA coordinates and implements programs that address health and nutrition, safety and security, as well as travel, entertainment, culture and education. Outreach and supportive services are available, including advocacy as well as resources for families.
Programs are offered in person and virtually from Fitness to Cooking to Coffee with friends. Please see the COA Newsletter for a listing of services and programs available. If you need support, please reach out to the staff at Dover COA at 508.315.5734.

Dover Town Code Description of Responsibilities
There shall be a seven-member Council on Aging appointed by the Board of Selectmen on a rotating basis of three or four members each year for three-year terms. Each year the Board of Selectmen shall also appoint two associate members of the Council on Aging as non-voting members for one-year terms. The Council shall coordinate or carry out programs designed to meet the needs of the aging in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 40, Section 8B.
