Dover resident families are invited to join DoverRec on the Town Common for this old-time favorite springtime activity - now with the addition of creative art projects! Head to Dover Center and celebrate the warmer temperatures and bright beautiful colors of the season, all for free for our community!

SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2025

10:00am - 11:00am (or while supplies last)

This event will be held RAIN OR SHINE!

Egg Hunt Age Groups: 

  • CHICKEN LITTLES - ages 3 and under
  • BIG BIRDS - ages 4 and above 

Event Schedule:

  • Both age groups will begin their Egg Hunts at PRECISELY 10:05am! 
    • This time is exact, and treat eggs are collected VERY quickly. Those arriving late, even by only a minute or two, will likely miss the egg hunt.
  • Art Activities will begin for all, once both egg hunts have concluded. 
    • Supplies for art activities will remain out for all to use until 11:00am OR all supplies are gone!

Cost: FREE for all residents (no registration is required)

YOUTH FISHING DERBY!

This unique annual event offers Dover families a fun, traditional day of community pond fishing with prizes, challenges and trophies for the biggest catches! 

SUNDAY, MAY 4, 2025

11:00am - 2:00pm at Channing Pond

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

This event will be held RAIN OR SHINE!

Awards will be handed out for the largest fish caught in each of the following three age categories (registered Dover residents ONLY):

    • 6 years & under
    • 7 - 10 years old
    • 11 - 15 years old

PLUS:  All registered participants will be automatically entered for the chance to win LOTS of additional prizes, such as tackle boxes, spin and power baits, fishing poles and more! Prize winners names will be pulled at random all throughout the event, with everyone having multiple chances to win - no matter the size of their catch! 

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, but differs depending on when you sign up!

  • $8/ participant ANYTIME BEFORE 5pm ON FRIDAY MAY 2nd
  • $10/ participant ON THE DAY OF THE DERBY
