The five-week Summer Playground program offers arts and crafts,
playground fun, organized games, field trips and other activities
Monday - Friday at the Chickering School. This program is great
for kids entering Kindergarten in the fall because they have the
chance to meet new friends and become familiar with the school.
The older kids also love this program because they are able to enjoy
fun, quality time with their friends! Whether your child is entering
Kindergarten or 6th grade, they will have the opportunity to meet
new friends, be a part of fun activities and games, and develop
their imagination through the importance of free play time. The
hours are from 9 am-12 pm. Registration

Field
Trips:
This year we will be going on two exciting field trips:
1. Museum of Science
- Wednesday, July 9th in Boston. The buses will leave Chickering
school at approx. 9:15 am & return by 2:00 pm. (more exact times
will be available soon)
2. South
Shore Music Circus to see "Jack in the Beanstalk"
- Thursday, July 24th in Cohasset, MA. The
buses will leave Chickering School at approx. 9:15 am & return
by 2:00 pm. (more exact times will be available soon)
Extended Day:
Extended day care is $7/hour, and is available from
12:00 -2:00 pm Monday-Thursday. There is no Extended Day offered
on the day we have field trips, as well as the fourth of July. You
must submit a form to sign up for Extended Day at least one week
prior to the child staying late.
General
Info.:
The program fee is $350 and registration begins on
February 11th and ends on April 18th. We do offer a discount of
$25 per student if two or more members of the family register. A
non-refundable $50 deposit per student is required with your registration
form. Program open to Fall students K – 6.

Basic Rules:
- You must provide a note if your child is not being
picked up from Playground by you.
- Children must be applied sunscreen and/or bug spray
at home, our councilors can not apply anything.
- Please leave any medications your child needs on
hand while at Playground with Jessica or Paige.
- Please send your child dressed according to the
weather and the daily activities.
- Children may bring a snack and drink to camp. If
they stay for Extended Day they should bring a bagged lunch.
- Parents need to pick up their child ON TIME from
Summer Playground!
- If your child is going to miss a day of camp you
do not have to call, but if you want to should call the Dover Park
& Recreation Office at 508-785-0476.
Please mail the form provided below to the Park and
Recreation office at P.O. Box 250 with your check payable to: "Town
of Dover" You may also drop the form off at the Park and Recreation
office, 9AM - 5PM weekdays. For further information call 785-0476

* If you are interested in becoming a Summer Playground
counselor please complete an application form from below and mail

250, Dover, MA 02030. To be eligible for a counselor position you
must have a valid driver's license and be a Dover resident.
If you are interested in becoming a CIT (Counselor
In Training) please complete an application form and write "CIT"
on the top of it before submission. *
